Associate Professor, PhD. Pham Tien Nam is Head of the Department of Social Work, Hanoi University of Public Health under the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. He is a senior lecturer, with more than 10 years of experience teaching and researching social work and mental health. His main research interests are social work in health and mental health. He has over 20 articles published in international peer-reviewed journals under Scopus and ISI. In addition, Associate Professor, PhD. Pham Tien Nam is also a consultant for Departments under the Ministry of Health of Vietnam and international
organizations such as UNICEF, UNFPA and etc in policy making to develop social work in health care, child protection and health care for the elderly in Vietnam. Currently, Associate Professor, PhD. Pham Tien Nam has received funding from the Nafosted Foundation, Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam to conduct research on social support and some influencing factors for critically ill patients at some central hospitals in Vietnam.
