Dr. Betania Allen-Leigh is a Researcher in Medical Sciences within the Reproductive Health Division at the National Institute of Public Health of Mexico. She did her Masters and PhD degrees in Anthropological Sciences at the Autonomous Metropolitan University-Iztapalapa campus, a public university located in Mexico City. She is currently working on two clinical trials on HPV vaccination in men living with HIVC and screening and triage options for cervical cancer detection in women living with HIV. She is also doing qualitative analysis on data about cisgender and transgender women’s and men who have sex with men’s perceptions of HPV vaccination and screening. She teaches qualitative methodology at the School of Public Health of Mexico and has also given virtual courses on qualitative research and analysis at the Universidad de Caldas in Colombia and the Universidad Mayor de San Simón in Bolivia.
