Associate Professor Bui Thi Tu Quyen is a medical doctor and biostatistician. She has been Chair of the Faculty of Fundamental Science at Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH) since February 2024 and Director of the Department of Biostatistics for over 12 years. Her research centers on public health issues in Vietnam, especially in the areas of HIV, tuberculosis, chronic diseases, and tobacco control. She has published more than 50 papers in international journals.
Over the past decade, Associate Professor Quyen has led or co-led more than 30 research projects. She has also established strong partnerships with health organizations in Vietnam, offering technical advice for various national health surveys. Currently, she is the Principal Investigator on an MRC UK ASEAN project focused on AI-enabled healthcare using wearable devices and serves as a Co-Investigator on two NIH grants for health research
