Dr. Hablas is a Consultant of Clinical Oncology and Palliative Care at the Gharbia Cancer Society in
Tanta, Egypt. Dr. Hablas was part of a team that established a Palliative Care Unit at Gharbia Cancer
Society, one of the first Palliative Care units in Egypt. Dr. Hablas research focuses on palliative care
particularly the lived experiences of cancer patients in developing countries. Dr. Hablas also conducted
research on Breast Cancer, Cancer Registries, and Integrative Oncology.
Dr. Hablas mentored several CEESP students during their research in Gharbiah.
